What is involved with the EPA?

Each apprenticeship standard has its own assessment plan, which specifies the assessment methods that must be used

How much does it cost?

Due to the cost-efficient way in which we undertake End-Point Assessments, we are able to charge significantly less that the maximum funding allowance fee for the train driver apprenticeship. Therefore, we are very competitively priced within the market, meaning you as the training provider will benefit from a higher return from your apprenticeship levy for delivering the initial training.

How do I know if my apprentice is ready?

A formal review between the employer, apprentice and the training provider will take place at the Employer Gateway stage.

Train Driver (Level3) End-Point Assessment plan (ST0645) states the minimum period to gateway is 12 months.

How do I know your assessors are a high quality?

All of our Assessors are highly experienced and operationally competent as Train Drivers, they maintain their competence with Train and Freight Organisations and also assess Train Drivers within the UK.

Each Assessor has undergone a rigorous selection process and completed training in order to deliver an End-Point Assessment. We also invest in each of the Assessors ‘Continual Professional Development ‘(CPD), to ensure that each Assessors’ knowledge is up to date with the latest quality standards.
